Marty Chan

Popular author/playwright Marty Chan lives and works in Edmonton. His plays have included Something Dead And Evil Lurks In The Cemetery And It's My Dad, The Bone House, Maggie's Last Dance, The Forbidden Phoenix, and Mom, Dad—I'm Living with a White Girl, published in the NeWest drama anthology, Ethnicities. He is well known for a six-year run on CBC Radio of The Dim Sum Diaries, a series of short vignettes about his growing up as a member of the only Chinese family in a small town in northern Alberta. Marty Chan has published four children's novels to date, The Mystery of the Frozen Brains and The Mystery of the Graffiti Ghoul, both based on his childhood experiences, followed by The Mystery of the Mad Science Teacher and True Story.
