Lyle Victor Albert is the youngest of eight children and was brought up on a farm just outside Bonnyville, Alberta. Growing up in a large family gave him the sense of humour that serves him well as a writer and actor. Albert has written several plays including Ba Ha Ha, Waves, White on White, Wheelie, and the Prairie Church of Buster Galloway. His plays have been produced across Canada and the US as well as in Europe and Australia. Albert is currently a resident of Radium, BC. His self-reflective collection of plays, Scraping the Surface, was released in fall 2000 and performed most recently in 2009 as part of Workshop West's Canoe Theatre Festival.
